Belarusian diplomats to strive for equality in international relations – Łukašenka
January 22, BPN. Belarusian diplomats should be working towards equal international relations and seek constructive dialogue “on the principles of security and mutually beneficial trade,” says Alaksandr Łukašenka’s congratulatory message to the Belarusian diplomats.
“You have chosen a difficult but very important job,” Łukašenka’s press office quoted him. “The development of the country, promotion of its economic interests, and protection of Belarusians depend on your abilities to fully devote yourselves to your service to the Fatherland.”
The current generation of Belarusian diplomats is able to successfully cope with any challenges, Łukašenka said, urging officials to be “worthy followers of the glorious traditions of the Belarusian diplomatic school.”
The political crackdown after the 2020 presidential election and support of Russia’s war on Ukraine have significantly reduced the capacity of Belarusian diplomacy leading some experts to declare the end of Belarusian multi-vector foreign policy.
