Łukašenka, Putin had “long” conversation on invasion’s anniversary

February 25, BPN. Alaksandr Łukašenka says he and Vladimir Putin had a long conversation on February 24, when Ukraine marked the somber anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

“Let me tell you a secret: he and I spoke about various topics last night for a long time. May God always keep our relationship this way. And let it stay this way when I’m gone,” Łukašenka said in Raŭbičy, Minsk region, as quoted by a Telegram channel linked to his press office.

His and Putin’s press offices have not reported anything official about that talk.

The authorities in Minsk voice support for Russia’s war but apparently have not deployed troops to Ukraine.
