Belarusian diplomat dismisses reports of Russian plane explosion as fake

February 28, BPN. Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Juryj Ambrazievič has dismissed reports that a Russian early warning and control aircraft was blown up at the Mačuliščy military airfield near Minsk.

“Given the absence of an official reaction, I am deeply convinced that this is another fake (claim) aimed at highlighting certain failures in our national security,” Ambrazievič told Reuters on the sidelines of the UN Conference on Disarmament in Geneva on February 28.

The head of the BYPOL anti-government organization, Alaksandr Azaraŭ, said on February 26 that Belarusian partisans used drones to attack the A-50 aircraft.
