June 19, BPN. A Belarusian opposition leader has said she may ask Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for help in liberating Belarus from Alaksandr Łukašenka’s regime.
In a YouTube interview with Ukrainian journalist Nataliia Moseichuk, Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja said all sorts of scenarios were on the table because developments were unpredictable.
She said the Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment alone will not be able to bring democracy to Belarus.
It will require a great effort from within the country, not only from the Belarusian regiment fighting for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, she added.
She said she was proud of the Belarusian volunteer fighters, expressing hope that she could do more for them.
