Belarus’ employed workforce down 1.5 percent – statistics

June 28, BPN. The Belarusian economy employed 4.15 million people in May, a fall of 1.5 percent year on year, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said.

The employed workforce fell by 0.3 percent or 13.100 people month on month.

The unemployment rate, calculated by the International Labor Organization’s methods, was 3.6 percent in 2022.
