Finance minister expecting balanced budget in 2023

December 28, Pozirk. The 2023 budget will be implemented without deficit, Finance Minister Juryj Selivierstaŭ told the Belarus 1 TV channel.
The finance ministry took several steps, including new regulations, amended terms of support for importers and financial risk insurance, to allow the economy to adapt to the “unprecedented” sanctions pressure, he noted.
Earlier, the minister announced that the 2024 budget is projected with a deficit of about five billion rubels (about $1.6 billion).
