KGB says it prevented terrorist attacks by Ukraine’s security services

January 19, Pozirk. The Committee for State Security (KGB) has prevented “explosions at oil refineries” and “assassinations of officials and journalists,” senior officer Kanstancin Byčak said in a film broadcast by the Belarus 1 TV channel.
The documentary features footage of interrogation of Vyacheslav Borodiy and Serhii Nevmerzhitsky, suspected agents of Ukraine’s security services.
They allegedly underwent training in Ukraine and then delivered “firearms, explosive devices, shock and reconnaissance UAVs” to Belarus. They also “recruited Belarusian nationals” to equip storage sites for these items, the film said.
Both may face charges of treason, undercover activities and terrorism, Belarus 1 reported. The film is based on the KGB information released in September 2023, when it reported uncovering three Ukraine-linked militant cells that allegedly planned sabotage and terrorist attacks in Belarus and Russia. A certain Borodiy was arrested in the Homiel region, that report said.
