Minsk labels punk song as extremist

February 29, Pozirk. Belarusian authorities have added 10 Million Slaves, a song of protest against police brutality at peaceful protests by the exiled punk band Day Dorogu, to the list of “extremist content,” the information ministry said.

The government also blacklisted Radio Liberty‘s mobile app, the Telegram account of Belarusians in Estonia, the social media of the Pravavaja Inicyjatyva nonprofit, and other alternative sources.

In February 2023, the authorities blacklisted Day Dorogu’s song and music video “The Extremist”. The list also contains songs and videos from other music bands.
