Poland denies truck traffic suspension

July 10, Pozirk. The passage of trucks from Belarus to Poland has been slowed down, but not stopped, Reuters quoted a Polish customs spokesperson as saying.
The move is connected with the new European Union (EU) sanctions against Belarus.
Earlier today, the Belarusian State Customs Committee said Poland stopped letting trucks in through the Kukuryki-Kazłovičy сheckpoint.
The EU yesterday published in its Official Journal an 18-page list of Belarusian goods banned for import.
The list includes alcoholic beverages, crustaceans, caviar and its substitutes, tobacco products, essential oils, cosmetics, hair and oral hygiene products, preparations for use on the hair, preparations for oral or dental hygiene, shaving preparations, including pre-shave and aftershave products, soap, waxes, polymers, polyamides and various plastic products.
Also banned were imports of synthetic rubber, prepared leather, cellulose, newspaper and toilet paper, a range of paper and cardboard products, certain types of clothing and footwear, precious and semi-precious stones, silver, aluminum wire and foil, engines, refrigerators and freezers, dishwashers and washing machines.
In addition, the list includes automobiles and tractors.
