Belarus among countries with slowest mobile Internet – ranking
July 19, Pozirk. Last month, Belarus ranked 105th of 108 countries in the SpeedTest ranking by Ookla with mobile Internet speed at 11.9 Mbps.
Only Bolivia, Yemen and Cuba ranked lower than Belarus, whose services are slower than Venezuela, Syria and Mongolia.
Lithuania ranked 17th with 100 Mbps; Latvia, 26th with 86.9 Mbps; Poland, 42nd with 57 Mbps; Russia 86th with 25.6 Mbps and war-torn Ukraine 93rd with 21.2 Mbps.
Qatar with 334.6 Mbps tops the ranking, followed by the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Norway and Denmark.
Social media users in Belarus have noted a deterioration in mobile Internet services since 2020 after authorities repeatedly blocked internet access to stifle postelection protests.
