Rubel jumps against dollar, yuan at BCSE

August 15, Pozirk. The rubel has appreciated against the US, EU and Chinese currencies at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.

In today’s trading, it jumped by 1.89 percent to 3.1493 per dollar and by 1.81 percent to 4.43 per 10 yuan.

It also rose by 0.34 percent to 3.49 per euro.

However, it fell by 0.9 percent to 3.5319 per 100 Russian rubles.

Last week (August 5 – 9), the rubel fell by 0.04 percent against the dollar, 1.1 percent against the euro and 1.15 percent against the yuan, and gained 0.77 percent against the Russian currency.

The Belarusian currency strengthened 1.34 percent against the dollar in the first seven months of 2024.
