Belarus’ most decorated freestyle wrestler dies aged 86
September 2, Pozirk. Alaksandar Miadźviedź, three-time Olympic champion and seven-time world champion, has passed away aged 86, by.tribuna.com reported.
The Ukrainian-born athlete was awarded the title of Belarus’ best athlete of the 20th century and the best freestyle wrestler in history.
He served as deputy head of the Belarusian National Olympic Committee.
