Propagandists urge young people to vote for Łukašenka in 2025

September 10, Pozirk. State TV propagandists at a campaign event urged young people to vote for Alaksandar Łukašenka in the 2025 presidential election.
They addressed students and schoolchildren during the televised One Belarus rally at the Minsk Sports Palace on September 9.
“I am not ashamed to say that, if necessary, we will all come out and ask Alaksandar Ryhoravič, who has not exactly said what we will do in 2025 and what the campaign will be like, to run in the election,'” STV host Ryhor Azaronak said.
ONT host Ihar Tur said that in the upcoming election, “everyone needs to think, not make emotional decisions, and vote for Alaksandar Łukašenka.”
“You may or may not like Alaksandar Ryhoravič. It is absolutely secondary from the point of view of politics and economic specifics,” he said. It so happened that only the incumbent can guarantee many issues, he added.
“As for the guarantee of preventing war on Belarusian territory, only Łukašenka can decide this single-handedly,” Tur said. Also, according to the propagandist, only Łukašenka can sustain economic growth.
By law, the 7th presidential election must be held no later than July 20. On August 14, the opposition group BelPol quoted insiders as saying that the government planned to conduct the election on February 23.
Belarusian pro-democracy forces have announced efforts toward international non-recognition of the official election result.
The most massive protests in the history of independent Belarus marred the previous presidential election. The political crisis and large-scale reprisals that followed continue to this day.
