November 5, Pozirk. Alaksandar Łukašenka on November 2 signed an edict that requires foreign intelligence to take preemptive measures against foreign secret services, terrorist, extremist and criminal groups and individuals.
The edict has taken effect following its publication on the National Legal Internet Portal on November 4.
As part of its relentless crackdown on dissent, the Łukašenka government has labeled opposition groups, critical media outlets, solidarity initiatives and advocacy organizations as extremist and terrorist “formations” and designated key opposition and media figures as terrorists and extremists.
