Rubel down 0.8 percent against US dollar at week’s last trading session

February 28, Pozirk. The rubel has depreciated to 3.2034 against the US dollar at the February 28 trading session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.

The Belarusian currency also dropped to 3.3166 per euro and 4.3386 per 10 Chinese yuan but climbed to 3.6099 per 100 Russian rubles.

In the outgoing week (February 24 – 28), the rubel climbed 0.12 percent against the dollar, 1 percent against the euro and 0.58 percent against the yuan but lost 1.21 percent against the Russian ruble.

The Belarusian currency gained 1.73 percent against the dollar in January, after losing 9.32 percent of its value against the dollar last year.

Belarus’ employment rate shrinks 1.1 percent
