Łukašenka has long phone call with Putin week after visiting Moscow
March 20, Pozirk. Alaksandar Łukašenka’s press office today reported on his telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
It said the conversation lasted about an hour. The two leaders discussed integration, including the follow-up to Łukašenka’s recent official visit to Russia. They also focused on this year’s Belarusian chairmanship of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
According to the report, the counterparts discussed upcoming contacts and joint events, including April’s international forum in Volgograd to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s World War II victory.
Furthermore, they discussed the agenda of an EEU summit in Minsk scheduled for the late June.
Besides, Putin briefed Łukašenka on his recent conversation with US President Donald Trump about Ukraine.
Łukašenka held talks with Putin in Moscow on March 13.
