Embassy in Tel Aviv warns Belarusians against travelling to Israel

June 13, Pozirk. The Belarusian embassy in Israel has urged Belarusians to refrain from planning trips to Israel, citing the state of emergency declared after strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities last night and expected retaliation.
Israel has closed its airspace and halted operations at the Ben Gurion International Airport, it noted on Facebook.
Belarusians currently in Israel, should follow the recommendations of local authorities, respect personal safety rules and stay near bomb shelters, the diplomats warned, noting that the embassy keeps operating.
Last night, Israel launched an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities targeting military sites, air bases, air defense systems and command posts as well as military commanders and scientists involved in Iran’s nuclear program. Iran launched military drones in response but Israel claimed to intercept all of them.
Amid restrictions on flights over Iran, Iraq and Israel, Azerbaijan received requests from several airlines to use its airports. A Dubai-bound flight from Minsk has reportedly landed in Baku this morning.
