Lithuanian president to hold security meeting following drone incursion from Belarus

June 28, Pozirk. The Lithuanian president is to hold a security meeting tomorrow to discuss measures in response to another drone incursion from Belarus this morning, LRT.lt reported citing Lithuanian Defense Minister Dovilė Šakalienė.
The Lithuanian police issued an alert to citizens about the incursion this morning. Šakalienė did not rule out that the drone was used for smuggling goods.
The incident comes two weeks after Vilnius handed a note of protest to the Belarusian chargé d’affaires in connection with an incursion on July 10 by a Gerbera foam-built UAV designed in Russia to imitate Iranian-made Shahed drones.
