Belarus bans Palahniuk’s “Invisible Monsters”
August 4, Pozirk. Belarus has added 31 titles to the list of books banned for distribution, the information ministry reported.

Officials said these books could harm “national interests.”
One of them, the collection of solidarity poems “Here They Are, and Here We Are,” contains works supporting protests in the country.
Minsk also banned “Invisible Monsters” by Chuck Palahniuk, “The Secret History” by Donna Tartt, “Marina’s 30th Love” by Vladimir Sorokin and other popular books.
The Ministry of Information warned distributors that selling them could lead to the revocation of their licenses.
There are now 141 banned books in Belarus.
