Chișinău investigating voter fraud in Minsk

September 28, Pozirk. Moldovan police have launched an investigation into the organized transportation of voters from Russia to a polling station in Belarus for today’s parliamentary election, says an announcement on Facebook.
Organized transportation of voters to polling stations on election day is prohibited in Moldova and carries a fine. The measure was designed to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.
Dozens of Moldovans reportedly arrived in Minsk from Russia today to vote at the Moldovan embassy in Belarus, as only two polling stations were opened in Russia, both in Moscow.
In the Moldovan parliamentary election, the ruling pro-Western Action and Solidarity Party faces a challenge from the Patriotic Electoral Bloc, led by pro-Russian figure Igor Dodon. Earlier, Moldovan authorities accused Russia of interfering in the electoral process and banned several parties over alleged ties to the Kremlin.
