US has deal for release of more Belarus’ political prisoners, Polish official says

October 15, Pozirk. The US deputy special envoy for Ukraine has reached an agreement with Minsk on the next round of Belarusian prisoner releases, said Marcin Bosacki, secretary of state at the Polish foreign ministry.
Bosacki met with the envoy, John Coale, yesterday in Washington. The Polish diplomat says Minsk is expected to free Belsat TV employees and Polish citizens.
“We hope for more good news soon,” reads his post on X.
The post comes one day after Alaksandar Łukašenka declared his readiness to strike a bigr deal with Washington.
The imprisoned Belsat TV journalists include Kaciaryna Andrejeva (Bachvałava) held at Women’s Colony No. 4 in Homiel. She has been imprisoned since November 2020.
