Sweden appoints chargé d’affaires to Belarus

October 15, Pozirk. Sweden has appointed Lars-Gunnar Wigemark as chargé d’affaires to Belarus and head of mission at the Minsk embassy.
According to the embassy, Wigemark used to work in the EU diplomatic service—as head of the EU delegation and special envoy to Bosnia and Herzegovina and as head of the delegation to Pakistan.
He also worked at the Embassy of Sweden in Moscow, at the Permanent Mission of Sweden to the EU in Brussels and at the missions in Washington (USA) and Belgrade (Serbia).
