Rubel down 1.1 percent against US dollar at BCSE on December 11

December 11, Pozirk. The rubel has depreciated to 2.9341 against the US dollar at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.
The Belarusian currency also dropped to 4.1568 per 10 yuan but climbed to 3.7203 per 100 Russian rubles.
The rubel has not traded against the European currency and remained at 3.3739 against the euro.
Last week (December 1–5), the rubel rose by 1.11 percent against the dollar, 1.25 percent against the euro and 0.26 percent against the yuan but lost 1.82 percent against the ruble.
The Belarusian currency gained 16.07 percent against the dollar in the first 11 months of 2025.
Government to raise pay of public sector employees on January 1
December 10, Pozirk. The Belarusian government plans to raise pay of public sector employees on January 1. The base rate, used for public sector salary calculations, will rise by 8.8 percent to 297 rubels, under a government directive adopted on December 10.
