Rubel hits 34-month high against US dollar at BCSE

January 22, Pozirk. The rubel has strengthened to 2.8471 against the US dollar at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE), hitting a high comparable to the value recorded on March 29, 2023, when it stood at 2.8557.
The Belarusian currency also climbed to 4.0819 per 10 yuan but dropped to 3.7413 per 100 Russian Rubles.
The rubel has not traded against the European currency since January 15 and remained at 3.3910 against the euro.
Last week (January 12-16), the rubel rose by 2.14 percent against the euro, 1.18 percent against the US dollar and 1.33 percent against the yuan but fell by 0.37 percent against the Russian ruble.
The Belarusian currency gained 16.43 percent against the dollar in 2025.
