Cichanoŭskaja expected to move to Warsaw today

January 30, Pozirk. “Starting Friday [January 30], Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja’s voice in defense of a free Belarus will be heard from Warsaw,” Poland’s Rzeczpospolita reported citing the Belarusian pro-democracy leader.
The paper interviewed the Belarusian politician during her visit to Warsaw on January 24.
It quotes Cichanoŭskaja as saying that Warsaw was “the first to extend the helping hand” after Lithuania had moved to downgrade her security.
The paper says that Cichanoŭskaja’s husband and her children, currently in the United States, are also expected to move to Warsaw.
Dzianis Kučynski, an aide to Cichanoŭskaja, said on January 22 that the politician would take only part of her team to Warsaw, while others would stay in Vilnius.
