Cichanoŭskaja meets with Zelensky

May 26, Pozirk. Belarus’ opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja, currently on a visit to Kyiv, has met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, her press office reported.
“We all support the desire of the people of Belarus to get rid of Russian interference and know that Russia is now trying to drag Belarus deeper into this war against Ukraine,” Zelensky said in his post about his meeting with Cichanoŭskaja.
He pointed out that Ukrainians appreciate every single manifestation of support from Belarusians and believe that the day will come when the two countries re-establish good-neighborly relations based on real independence of both Ukraine and Belarus of Moscow.
“Ukraine has never posed a threat for Belarus. And we are thankful to those Belarusians who stand shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine now, when the fate of our independence and independence of every nation bordering Russia is at stake,” the Ukrainian leader said.
According to Zelensky, Kyiv is hosting a 24-nation summit with Ukraine’s all European neighbors participating – Belarus, Hungary, Moldova, Poland Romania and Slovakia.
