China’s vice president visiting Minsk

June 6, Pozirk. Chinese Vice President Han Zheng has arrived in Minsk, the press office of Belarus’ Council of Ministers reported on June 5.

He has met with Belarusian Prime Minister Alaksandar Turčyn.

Han Zheng was expected to lay flowers at the Victory Monument in downtown Minsk to commemorate those killed during the Soviet Union’s Great Patriotic War against Nazi Germany. 

Han is scheduled to participate in the opening ceremony for a Belarusian-Chinese industrial and investment cooperation forum and a China export promotion event as part of agricultural exhibition Biełahra 2026, as well as visit a number of “cultural landmarks.”

The press office did not say whether Han would hold a meeting with Alaksandar Łukašenka.
