Pinsk records another temperature high on June 30

July 1, Pozirk. The air warmed up to 35.1 degrees Celsius in Pinsk, Brest region, yesterday, setting the all-time high for this day in Belarus, according to Pozirk’s analysis of Biełhidramiet’s data.

The previous record for June 30 was recorded back in 1917 at 34C in Vasilevičy, Homiel region. Overall, 25 weather stations recorded new local temperature highs over the past day.

On June 29, Belarus reported its highest-ever temperature in the 145-year history of meteorological observations at 40.4 C in Pinsk.

Temperatures are expected to drop over the next three days, with 24C forecast for July 4.
