Rubel strengthens against dollar on August 20

August 20, Pozirk. The rubel rose by 1.5 percent to 2.9829 at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

The Belarusian currency has also strengthened to 3.4873 against the euro, 4.4496 per 10 yuan, but weakened against the Russian ruble, trading at 3.5784 per 100 rubles.

Last week (August 10 – August 14), the rubel has weakened by 1.43 percent against the dollar, by 1.28 percent against the euro and 1.31 percent against the yuan but rose by 1.58 percent against the Russian ruble.

The Belarusian currency lost 0.37 percent of its value against the dollar in the first seven months of 2026.
