Opposition leader condemns Russia’s deadly strikes on Ukraine

October 8, Pozirk. Kyiv has become a frontline city, and other European cities may repeat its destiny, Belarusian opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja has said following yesterday’s massive Russian missile and drone strike that claimed at least 32 lives and left dozens injured.

“We need more pressure on Russia and more support for Ukraine to defend its skies and prevail,” the politician said on X.

Cichanoŭskaja has also expressed condolences to families who lost their loved ones after a Russian attack on passenger buses in Kramatorsk that killed at least 33 people and wounded 18. “My heart is with the wounded and all Ukrainians facing this terror. Russia must be stopped,” she said.

In February 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Minsk supported the Kremlin by allowing Russian troops to attack Ukraine from Belarusian territory on multiple occasions and by supplying arms to Moscow.
