Housing construction drops by 12.5 percent in January-July – Biełstat

August 21, BPN. Developers built 21,000 new apartments in January-July 2023, 12.5-percent fewer than in the same period of 2022.

The statistics service, Biełstat, said a total of 1.9 million square meters of housing was commissioned, a decrease of 8.1 percent year on year.

Consumer prices rose 3.26 percent in the first seven months of 2023. The Belarusian currency depreciated by 10.58 percent against the US dollar in the same period.
