Rubel slightly strengthens against US dollar this week

September 22, Pozirk. The rubel has slightly appreciated against the US dollar and the euro at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.

In today’s trading it rose to 3.2577 per US dollar and 3.462 per euro, but slipped to 4.4568 per 10 yuan and 3.3937 per 100 Russian rubles.

The dollar fell by 0.08 percent, the euro by 0.23 percent and the yuan by 0.57 percent at the BCSE in the outgoing week (September 18-22), while the Russian ruble rose by 0.57 percent.

The Belarusian currency lost 17.44 percent of its value against the dollar from January to August.
