October 2, Pozirk. Azerbaijan’s flagship carrier AZAL has resumed regular flights between Baku and Minsk after a five-year break, the Minsk National Airport’s press office reports.
AZAL will operate four weekly flights on the route with a travel time of about four hours. The first flight from Baku has arrived in Minsk on October 2.
Baku airport serves as a hub for travel to Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Tickets are available on AZAL’s website, app and at the accredited agencies.
Belarusian Biełavia is banned from flying to European countries following the forced landing of the Ryanair plane in Minsk in 2021. In early August, the United States added it to an expanded sanctions list.
