Russian troops will return to their permanent bases at the end of the exercise, Kremlin spokesperson says

February 8, BPN. Russian troops will return from Belarus to their permanent bases after the Union Resolve 2022 exercise, Russian president’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters on February 8.

“No one has ever said that the Russian troops will stay on the territory of Belarus, this has never been discussed,” TASS quoted the Kremlin spokesperson. “We are talking about an allied exercise and, naturally, it is implied that after the end of the exercise the troops will return to their permanent locations.”
