Makiej discussed with the Turkish Foreign Minister “fakes and speculations regarding plans to attack Ukraine from the territory of Belarus”

On February 12, Belarusian Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makiej discussed “important international issues” and exchanged “views on the current processes in the region” with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu over the phone, the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reported.

“Separately, we focused on the overloading of the global information field with inaccurate information and disinformation, including blatant fakes and speculations about plans to attack Ukraine from the territory of Belarus as well as other fabrications around the Russian-Belarusian military exercises Union Resolve 2022. At the request of his colleague, Uladzimir Makiej provided unbiased information about the real situation in this context,” noted the Foreign Ministry.
