National Bank raises refinancing rate to 12% from March 1

February 28, BPN. The National Bank of Belarus decided to raise the refinancing rate to 12% from March 1.

It raised the rate last year on July 21, from 8.5% to 9.25%.

The rate increase comes amid a sharp increase in the US dollar exchange rate due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
