Lukašenka says that about “160-170 wounded Russian soldiers were treated” in Belarusian hospitals
March 1, BPN. At a meeting with members of the Security Council and the government in Minsk on March 1, Aliaksandr Lukašenka said that about “160-170 wounded Russian soldiers were treated” in Belarusian hospitals.
A fragment of his speech was published by Pul Pervogo, the unofficial Telegram channel of his press service.
According to Lukašenka, Russian soldiers were admitted to hospitals in Homiel’, Mazyr (Homiel’ region) and in “a district center.”
He described the reports about “thousands of wounded” as fakes, which are “deliberately created.” In his words, “there is no large-scale destruction of the Russian Armed Forces.” “There is no need to shout about the thousands of dead there. We don’t see it,” he said.
On March 1, the Ukrainian media reported on the participation of Belarusian army in the war. Minsk denies such participation.
From March 1 to 4, an inspection of territorial defense troops was announced in Belarus.
