Belarusian Defense Ministry keeps denying participation of Belarusian troops in the war with Ukraine
March 7, BPN. Belarusian Ministry of Defense has once again denied the involvement of Belarusian troops in the Russian military invasion of Ukraine.
“The paratroopers, like all the Armed Forces, remain in Belarus and carry out tasks in accordance with the assignment determined by the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces,” the ministry said.
Defense Ministry described the information about the participation of the Belarusian troops in the war, disseminated by the Ukrainian media, as “fakes.” It also refuted the information about the resignation of the Chief of the General Staff Viktar Hulevič, massively disseminated via social networks.
It is emphasized that “the staffing of formations and military units of the Republic of Belarus is at 100%” and that “they are already carrying out tasks, but only on their own territory.”
