Russia, with the participation of the Lukašenka regime, bears full responsibility for deaths and destruction in Ukraine – EU
March 8, BPN. European Union Delegation to the OSCE blamed Belarusian authorities for the war in Ukraine.
“Russia, with the participation of the Lukašenka regime in Belarus as co-aggressor, bears full responsibility for the loss of life, injuries and destruction,” it said in a statement.
The EU urged the authorities in Minsk not to enable Russian aggression and to abide by their international obligations.
The statement emphasized that “President Putin’s full-scale war against Ukraine is a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter, and undermines European and global security and stability.”
The EU demands that Russia “immediately cease its military actions, withdraw all its troops from the entire territory of Ukraine and fully respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence within its internationally recognized borders and territorial waters.”
On March 7, the OSCE Standing Committee held hearings on the situation in Ukraine.
