Belarus’ official coronavirus death toll rises to 6,705
March 18, BPN. The total number of confirmed coronavirus infection cases in Belarus increased by 1,742 from 946,674 on Wednesday to 948,416 on Thursday, with the death toll rising by 8 from 6,698 to 6,705, according to the country’s health ministry.
The ministry said that a total of 944,168 people had recovered from the coronavirus, and 636 people had been discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours.
As many as 12,704,497 tests for the coronavirus had been carried out in the country by Thursday, with 15,836 tests conducted in the past 24 hours.
As of March 17, as many as 5,802,000 people in Belarus had already received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and over 5,289,000 people had been fully vaccinated with two doses.
