Belarus’ official coronavirus death toll rises to 6,974
May 9, BPN. The total number of confirmed coronavirus infection cases in Belarus increased by 155 from 982,654 on Saturday to 982,809 on Sunday, with the death toll rising by 3 from 6,972 to 6,974, according to the country’s health ministry.
The ministry said that a total of 975,344 people had recovered from the coronavirus, and 40 people had been discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours.
As many as 13,217,569 tests for the coronavirus had been carried out in the country by Sunday, with 4,820 tests conducted in the past 24 hours.
As of May 6, as many as 6,311,000 people in Belarus (67.5%) had already received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and over 5,951,000 people (63.7%) had been fully vaccinated with two doses.
