Ukrainian military command says Belarus deploys more electronic equipment on Ukraine border
June 12, BPN. Belarusian military is reinforcing the checkpoints and is deploying additional electronic warfare equipment near the Belarusian-Ukrainian border, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said in an operational report on June 12.
One day earlier, Ukraine reported that Belarusian troops stationed in the border areas had been put on high alert.
On May 28, Ukrainian military command noted that Belarus deployed mobile electronic warfare groups in the border areas. Earlier in May, Alaksandr Łukašenka announced that the army was being equipped with Belarusian-made Groza counter-UAV electronic warfare systems.
On February 24, Russia started what it called a special military operation in Ukraine. Authorities in Minsk deny Belarusian army troops’ involvement in combat operations on the Russian side. However, Łukašenka admitted in the May 5 interview with AP that Russian troops entered Ukraine and launched missiles from Belarusian territory.
