Three years of restricted freedom for insulting Łukašenka

June 14, BPN. Judge Alaksandr Voŭk of the Saviecki District Court in Minsk has sentenced Natalla Vasilevič to three years of restricted freedom in an open-type correctional facility for insulting Alaksandr Łukašenka and a public official, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported. The judge passed the sentence as requested by the state prosecutor on June 10.

Vasilevič, who has been in custody since her arrest in December 2021, was released in the courtroom pending her transfer to a correctional facility.

People sentenced to restricted freedom with referral to an open-type correctional facility live in barracks and are required to find a job in the location. They are allowed to leave the facility for work only.
