June 16, BPN. The Supreme Court of Belarus shut down the Belarusian Architecture Students’ Association on May 18, shortly before its 30th anniversary, the organization said on its Instagram account.
The Belarusian Architecture Students’ Association was established in 1993 to promote non-formal education. Students organized lectures, architectural forums, and participated in the European Architecture Student Assembly.
According to rights watchdog Lawtrend, Belarusian civil society lost over 760 nonprofit organizations since August 2020, including public associations, foundations, and non-governmental organizations.
