Eight years in prison for man on terrorist list

June 16, BPN. Hrodna resident Juryj Žukoŭski has been found guilty under four criminal articles and sentenced to eight years in prison, Telegram channel Sudy, Zaderzhaniya. Grodno i Oblast reported.

He was charged with organizing mass riots, insulting Alaksandr Łukašenka, inciting social discord and organizing/participating in actions to grossly disturb public order.

On June 10, the Committee for the State Security (KGB) put Žukoŭski on the “list of persons involved in terrorist activities”.
