KGB adds nine to its terrorist list
June 20, BPN. The Committee for the State Security (KGB) has added nine people to the list of those involved in “terrorist activities”.
The new entries include Jaŭhien Kalenda (31), Siarhiej Alaksiejeŭski (29), Julija Čamłaj (34) and Alaksandr Nahieła (44). Belarusian human rights groups dismissed the charges of inciting social hatred levelled against them as politically motivated.
Julijana Šamietaviec (30), Dźmitryj Ščyhielski (50) and Pavieł Kułaženka (38) are charged with “threatening to commit an act of terrorism” and, according to the KGB, are in the USA.
Vital Łojka (31) and Illa Trubin (35) are charged with committing an act of terror.
There are over 80 names on the list, with 35 people blacklisted in the past 10 days.
