Pinsk authorities ban small boats movement near Ukraine border

June 21, BPN. The Pinsk District Executive Committee in the Brest region has specified sections of the rivers where the movement of small size craft is prohibited.

According to the decision dated May 30 but published on June 21, it is forbidden to sail along the Prypiać, Prastyr and Styr in areas adjacent to Ukraine’s border. An exception is made for small boats of the authorities and local landscape reserve workers.

Belarus allowed Russian troops and weapons to move through the country’s territory, use its airspace, refuel and store military equipment and attack Ukraine from its territory on February 24. Tension on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border has eased after Ukraine repelled the attack on its northern areas. However, the Belarusian Armed Forces have conducted regular exercises, and Kyiv says that Belarus may be preparing for an offensive. Minsk denies having aggressive plans.
