Opposition blogger transferred from Homiel to Navapołack prison
June 22, BPN. Radio Liberty consultant Ihar Łosik has been transferred to a prison in Navapołack, Viciebsk region, his wife Darja Łosik says on Instagram.
One day earlier, she said she had visited a prison in Homiel only to find out that her husband had been transferred to another location a few days before.
Łosik, who run popular Telegram account Belarus Golovnogo Mozga, was arrested in Baranavičy on June 20, 2020.
He was targeted in the case against former presidential hopeful Siarhiej Cichanoŭski.
The blogger was charged with organizing mass riots and inciting social enmity.
He was on hunger strike several times during the investigation and tried to open his veins over the social enmity charge.
He was sentenced to 15 years in prison on December 14, 2021.
