June 23, BPN. A regional court judge in Hrodna has sentenced Alaksiej Zabiran to three years in prison over comments he posted online, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.
Judge Dźmitry Bubienčyk found him guilty insulting Alaksandr Łukasenka and another official and inciting hatred. Zabiran, who moved from Kazakhstan to Belarus eight years ago, was arrested in November last year. He worked at AAT Hrodna Azot.
