June 26, BPN. Nominal gross average pay (before taxes and other mandatory payments) in Belarus increased by 5.6 rubels (0.36 percent) to 1,573.4 rubels in May ($621.4 at the exchange rate on May 24 at the Belarusian Stock and Currency Exchange), the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) reported.
Nominal average pay decreased by 2.17 percent in Minsk in May, but it still remained the highest among other regions with 2,196.7 rubels.
In April, nominal average decreased by 34.9 rubles, or by 2.13 percent, from March’s level.
On May 12, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security reported a 2.3 percent increase in the minimum monthly wage in April from 479.83 to 480.96 rubels.
